ABOUT KATHERINE

Katherine Nobleza-Estavillo is a theater artist, director, and educator proudly rooted in the coastal town of Agno, Pangasinan. Growing up in a community where opportunities in the performing arts were rare, she carries the honor of representing a place not often associated with theater—proving that creativity can emerge from unexpected spaces and inspire others to dream beyond what they know.

She began performing in 2008 at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines as a member of Teatro Komunikado, and later trained with distinguished institutions such as Teatro Expedición de Filipinas, Philippine Stagers Foundation, Trumpets Playshop, Tanghalang Pilipino of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, and the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service. Her performance experience includes major works like Florante at Laura, Ibong Adarna, Noli Me Tangere, El Filibusterismo, Romeo and Juliet, and Lancelot.

As a director, Katherine has helmed an impressive range of productions including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Boombastic Perya, Kapadpada, Ibong Adarna Parang Musikal, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mt. Dinayao: A Kalinga Legend, and several shadow-play productions showcased in the Ibagíw and Montañosa Festivals. Today, she serves as Artistic Director and trainer of Tanghalang SLU, guiding young artists and strengthening theater education.

Kath hopes to be known as an artist who empowers—one who nurtures emerging voices, builds creative communities, and uses theater as a bridge between culture, imagination, and identity. She remains dedicated to proving that great artistry can rise from any small town and resonate on stages across the country.
